What your donation will help with?

So far we have been self funding. Collectively we have purchased all the material we have needed so far for building. This is a small percentage of our expenses.
Time and deplacement are two elements that are invisibly expensive. Participants in the stupa building project have given thousands of hours towards evolving the stupa and have travelled to the site of the stupa at Tourné at their own expense.

The short videos on the website give you an example of the scale we are working on. You can see contents, participants and a growing physical structure.

Here is a list of what your donation will support

1. Building material for the main structure of the stupa

2. Purchase of stupa contents. Many of these items have been sought from Asia. It includes: sacred statues; “treasure vases”; other sacred items such as hand made mandalas, representations of items such as musical instruments, pagodas and so on.

3. Purchase of microfilm. This microfilm is specially prepared and produced. The microfilms contain millions of prayers or mantras.

4. Printing of mantras, dharanis and sutras. We are collecting every known sacred text. Collecting the texts takes time. They then have to be put into a printable form, scaled to a workable size and then physically collated once they have been received.

5. Participants time and expenses. We engaged in this project with the aim to ensure its completion for the benefit of all beings. There is nothing sentimental about it! it’s a time of urgent need.
We intend to complete a total of eight stupas. To do so in a practical timescale we need to support the travel and accommodation expenses of those who are taking part.

6. Ideally we would receive enough donations to be able to make these stupa building encounters open to anyone who would like to take part.

7. The centre at Tourné has been subsidising participants since the beginning of the project. We nevertheless need to support the centre.

Stupa contents that you can contribute to.

15 € will buy a bag of lime for building.

30 € will buy a ton of sand for building

Tsa tsa moulds these are the moulds with which we make tsa tsa, small states or other sacred objects in which we place hand rolled mantras. A single mould can make many hundreds or thousands of tsa tsa. 60 € will buy one medium sized tsatsa mould from Nalanda monastery in France.

Bronze or other metal statues. A stupa should always contain the result of the dedication, energy and effort of the makers or contributors. As of June 2026, there are already many hundreds of tsa tsa, mantra, medicine statues and other precious and semi precious objects. Each level of the stupa requires different type of contents. We are currently search of good quality statues of between 10 cm and 30 cm for vase of the stupa. A small statue from a reputable source will cost between 30 € and 60 €. Larger statutes have no limit on price.

Above the vase of the stupa are a series of what are called ‘umbrella’. They are plates, discs. They can be fashioned out of many different types of material. Thirteen plates are required. 50 € will contribute towards the cost of a single plate.

Since before 2024, participants and members of O’Kaïros have been offering their time unpaid. Payment is not asked for but a contribution to wards travel expenses and accommodation during meetings is urgently needed! It costs around 80 € a day to house and feed a participant. Each participant makers a contribution. A contribution of 30 € per participant supports the location and the provides staff to cook, to clean and maintain the house and grounds.
